    1969 911E Versuch factory prototype

After much deliberation we have now decided to try to find a sympathetic buyer for restoration of this historically important 911.

Good Luck with the sale Mike.
I thoroughly enjoyed following your story about finding this car over on DDK.

Thank you. It has already been pointed out that we may have been a little presumptious in calling it the first lwb and we take that point on board. I think I am right in saying it is the only one of the Versuch models from 1969 which both an 01 chassis number and an 01 engine number. In any event we stand corrected but still maintain the historical importance of this car. Perhaps Dave could comment on the engine numbers out there on the two 'S' models from the same period (and if he discovered their build dates yet).

    Regards
    Mike

No info on the engine for 119300001, and no dates for either 911S
Need a shot of the paint code badge.

I had #21 for a while, should never have sold it, not the same deal of course but a cool car none the less. I'm sure it must of been one of the first E's off the boat into US.

Note the unusual Red Perlon carpet in this car, which by the way is impossible to get now.
