I'm 99% certain that this is original. The only thing that bothers me is that the condition is just perfect. As always, if you're not satisfied with it for any reason you can return it for a refund (less shipping & PP).

    $345.00 + shipping & Paypal (check OK)
    Reasonable offers always considered!

Could an original pouch have a black liner? or just red?

I have seen original period 65-73 pouches with maroon, black, green, blue, tan, white and putty liners. More than 90% of the originals I've seen are the standard Porsche maroon.

    I should have said, Carl?

As my 7-year old grandson Jack said to me the other day - "Watch and learn, my friend.".

    Carl...

Is the one I have pictured from 1970-73? And the earlier one, 1965-69, had the round key ring? I have one of those also and was wondering. I thought perhaps the key ring had been replaced on the one with the round one. The two I have are otherwise identical.

    Thanks,
    JohnA

    John,

That's the theory and I believe it's shown in the accessory catalogs that it's roughly correct. There are exceptions though... in 1973 Porsche offered a different pouch along with the usual style and it had the split key ring. Maybe it was a mistake or they didn't care but it makes sense to me that when Porsche switched to the red and black plastic keys in 1970 they changed to the hinge style clasp. From what I've seen the key fobs (also pictured) have always been split ring.

I see a key ring represented in the brochure above (not pouch). What would've come typically with a 1968 911S? I have a similar one w/my car; however, I have to wonder that it isn't original, as the bars aren't orange?
