Looking for correct brown carpet for my 1972 911T targa

    Guys,
My 72T targa is almost finished being restored. One of the last things I need to complete the interior is brown carpet for my brown interior. The seats are not beige or light brown, they are brown (or as Porsche refered to them as "tabak" or tobacco. I am not sure if Porsche used only one shade of brown for both beige and brown interiors, or if they offered a darker shade of carpet for darker brown. Anyone know for a fact which is correct and where I can buy it.
Any help appreciated. Here are some photos of the interior. The carpet in the photos is aftermarket.
    Thanks

    HI Mike,
I have already. He doesn't have it and doesn't know where I can get it. He offered me a few options but they were way off.

Are you trying to match the carpet in the pictures? That does not look anything like the carpet that would've come with brown. Tony does have stuff that comes close to the original. Yes you do have brown and the carpet I have seen for 2.4 cars brown or cinnamon, is the same. Sort of light liver color.

You will likely find what you need here. http://www.cabrio.de/khm/
And in particular on this page. http://www.cabrio.de/khm/index.php?o...mid=12&lang=en

There is no place in the US that actually has the correct stuff. Autos International and Tony's place have only reproductions, that can be awfully close. KHM actually has the correct material in many cases. The Zellwoll stuff they use is the original Porsche material, and will eventually run out. But till then, it's as close as you can get. Similar pricing to Tony and others.

Tony's is like a brown version of Salt and Pepper. The originals (of which I have seen one in Toronto) have less "salt". The original looks like a loop and Tony's looks like cut loop pile. Hard to tell on a screen, but look in the area of the fold where you see the typical loop pattern.

Remember there was only three colors for interiors for your year.....Brown, Biege or called Tan, and Black.

Yours is Brown, Tony matched mine. Send him a piece..
