Not mine! Did these Mahles come from the factory or dealer on delivery? Great looking "T".Wheels would make a difference in pricing,I think, but nice nonetheless.TFM http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Clean...22cad357#v4-37

'73 S Targa #0830 2.7 MFI rebuilt to RS specs
A similar 71T Targa with 37,000 miles and in vg condition sold four years ago for 55K. With inflation and appreciation of cars in the last six months,$65,000 doesn`t sound too far off---if,it is in comparable condition. Does any know if Mahles were a factory option.I think they were on 71-72 914`s.TFM

5.5" x 15" Mahle's were an option starting in 1970. So these would be correct. Also available on 914-6's, 4 bolt Mahle's were option on 914-4's and were different style.

These wheels are nick named "gas burners". They are a pressure cast and fairly light

They are made out of Magnesium, lightest wheel ever put on a 911, I think 9.9 lbs.

Saw this car in person yesterday and it was the "real deal", all matching numbers vin# 9112111420 engine #6123346 and original signal yellow paint. I think Tom above got it and it sold for $59,000(TOM PASSED CAR IS STILL AVAILABLE). One of the most original early 911's I have ever seen other than Candyce's early S. Seller had it for less than a year and was just flipping bought from original owner locally who was 86 yrs. old. Everything was there, leather steering wheel (dated '72), tool kit (missing some wrenches) carpet was original and was in like new condition, door pockets functioned properly with no warping. Had all original paperwork, bill of sale, maintenance record book, blaupunkt Frankfurt booklet. Could not find much rust (original signal yellow paint), car was Ziebarted when new, some surface rust in front pan and by pedal cluster but battery boxes were solid. Targa top was in excellent original condition on outside top, rain gutters and headliner needed some attention. This is a very good original driver. Here are some added pics I took:
