If you have to paint a car, then it can never be 100% original again. A car can only be original once. Since your car has been painted, make your day and paint the way you want. Chris

As i am in the same process as Tim i would also appreciate everyones input as to the desirability of Greens over Silver. My 1971E is originally Silver and matching numbers, but I am not a fan of it and have a hankering for either a Lime green or Continental Orange. And i have never belonged to the concours crowd.

Tim looking forward to seeing pics of your car.I have a spare front bonnet if you need it.

That looks like Golden Green - can't tell if it's metallic or not. Leaf Green is another great green that not everybody has... http://www.willhoitautorestoration.c...box/index.html

    John,

Love the red door panels and red seats with dark carpets. I couldn't do Red carpet as well.

I looked on the TRE website but couldn't see anything relating to red basket weave.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

I know for sure the all red interior on Rob Abbot's 911R replica above (he built for his wife) was sourced by TRE. You'd probably have to send Dave an email (he's great by the way) to source it (I know it's now becoming hard to get - you need about 2m for a full interior. FWIW I paid AU$175 for the 2m of black basket weave I used from CBG.

The top car with Haargarn is Chris Nielsen's SWB which now lives in Holland. He was of the same opinion as you with a full red interior...

So I suggested to my wife I might paint the car Slate grey with Red Interior and dark carpets.

She asked if I had any photos. Whamo up with google images and found some pearlers.

    Her response.......I quote:

    "yeah....No."
