Not sure if previously discussed, but this one looks interesting:

Wonder if there are many 1969 features on this one.

I sure like the basket weave better than the elephant hide.

The OP PM'd me and said there were some big issues after he had a PPI then chose to bail.

Was this common on the end of production for the L? Any idea when the transition occurred?

Just checked my pic data base. Looks like the last 100, at least, U.S. L models did NOT have Elephant hide. I have at least 10 cars like this, later VINs, with NO Elephant hide interspersed, only basket weave. thanks.

Curt-- Where did you here it is non-matching #? Are you trying to make a funny? Yes it is matching #'s except for paint. Maybe that is what you mean? Even when I swap out the Sporto tranny for a 5 speed, it will still be a matching #'s car as I will keep the original Sporto tranny with the car. And when I paint it back to Ossi Blue , it will be a all matching #'s car. Do not worry, I am working on getting it on the road. I know it seems like its been sitting in the garage for 5 years, its been only 1 year. But yes it is time to get going on this car. I have also been collecting parts as it needs everything. Chris
