    J. David 935

Was reading ex-bicycle frame builder Dave Moulton's blog the other day and came across a post about John Howard frames. John Howard was probably the first well-known American racing cyclist. Anyway, he commissioned Moulton to build a run of exclusive frames for him. The deal lasted only a year before Howard's financier ran into a bit of trouble. The financier was none other than J. David (Dominelli). I guess I never knew what "J. David" was, even though I watched the cars race back in the early 80s. So it wasn't just drug money fueling IMSA, there was ponzi scheme money too!

after much rumour and speculation and many a mis-informed judgement made against this team, I am thankful for the clear and concise story about the Fitzpatrick , Bell, Hobbs, and Stommelen driven cars.
J David was a successful race team fielding some brilliant and beautiful cars , but at the apparent malfeasance of Mr J David Dominelli ; a sad tale, filled with victory , with death, with good results from ill begotten gain.
    Crazy stuff of legend.....
John Fitzpatrick's words ring hauntingly clear thru the mists of time.......
