    Looks like the VIN plate on the A-pillar. The original could have been lost at some point and someone made one to satisfy DOT requirements. Or, the car could be European and not have had one to begin with. I've seen worse A-pillar tags over the years.

    I would expect Excellence to require a shot of the stamped body tag at the very least...

    Contacted seller - car is sold. Cant believe I missed this one. It is only 30 minutes from my house and is ONE S/N AWAY FROM MINE!!!!

    I was trying to raise the funds yesterday, I really needed more time, I have a 70S engine likely very close in numbers, would'have been nice....
    it had a just rebuilt 69S MFI in it and from the pics I got ,it is not only kosher but a very solid and strait body with one repaint....dang it!

    come to think of it I had first shot at it but looks like someone was more pushy and convincing and seller caved in last night....I was given til this morning for a deposit, I was ready but didnt even get the chance...that really sucks when a seller cant commit while asking me to commit.

    Several prospective purchasers no doubt got the same story....

    If anyone here got the car, I have a 70S motor that I would consider trading for the 69S that is in the car.
