    FS: 69 911s Distributor

This came with one of my early cars and isn't quite appropriate and wont like likely have the right curve for 2.0 liter "normal". The Bosch number on it is 0-231-159-007 and from what I can tell it is 69S. A friend said I should ask around $300. Give me your best offer or let me know if I have the model wrong.

    Thanks

    Casey

Wow, Chuck coming down like words from above! The first pm offer is a trade and I will verify tomorrow that I don't have the part in question. The second pm offer I'm negotiating with is second and the posted offer is third.

Where are the rules of etiquette written regarding offers on parts listed for sale?

    pistonpat,

There's no issue here (I hope) ... If you want to make an offer to a classified ad please make it off line in a PM or if the seller has an email or contact number. The point being that all cars or parts that are being personally sold here need a stated price (or a direct link to an auction).

The price won't be publicly negotiated back and forth on this message board... We tried that about 4 years ago and it was disaster, hence the 'stated price' rule......

If you feel there's a problem with this please PM me and we'll discuss it....

    Thanks,
    Chuck

My process has always been to respond to the first response first by email, pm or post. If I want to buy something, I usually post that I have Pm'd and or emailed as well. That way I have publicly covered my bases.
