Umm..I would not be so sure. I think this one is priced high, dealer asking hi. Just because somebody is asking a higher price than what you would expect, or what the 'current market should be', doesn't mean that prices have firmed up. Now, if it sells for asking, than yes, prices seem to have stopped depreciating. But it has not sold yet.

Curt, Marco - ONE or BOTH of you should buy this car, please....I'm sick of hearing about White GT3's....

the 04-05 GT3s truly are the closest modern Porsches to the 73RS.

Lots of people don't know that the 04-05 GT3s have NO electronic nannies except ABS!

I will get another one...Speed Yellow.

The GT3 was great, but as a road car you had to go over the speed limit to really enjoy it. So I traded it for the 1973 RSR recreation, which is a lot more fun to drive (albeit with the 3.6L engine and 2400 lbs it is just about as fast as the GT3). Also, the RSR is prettier by a mile. We did that trade in June and the sell price we based it on was about $47,000 (30,000 miles, stock except for fabspeed headers and exhaust, never tracked, yellow calipers). See the WTT thread here: http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...-1967-1972-911

At the time of the trade, I heard of a similar one that had been tracked selling for $42,000 and the dealer wholesale was in the low 40's.

BTW, with all the talk about low production numbers, they only made something like 105 units of 996 GT3's in 2005. Just sayin'
    Jim

    Shhhhhhh! Don't tell everyone!

Fwiw, a friend of mine is currently working a deal with a Porsche Dealership on a 2005 GT3 in Speed Yellow. The car will come CPO with a one year factory warranty, it has the ceramic brakes, dealer is picking up the clear bra install and throwing in a fitted Porsche car cover, key fobs, and some other swag. Mileage is 16K woth full records to widow sticker, and price is $65K OTD.

The car in the ad above is gorgeous and overpriced by about $7-9K ... But it IS an 04 and it IS white.
