    4 speed Transmissions

Does anyone know if any of the 4 speed 901/911 transmissions were fitted with a 6.29 Ring and Pinion ?

From memory here so don't jump on me if I'm wrong. The only prduction car that had the 6:29 was the '69 912. to give the little four a feeling of quicker acceleration.

The only one I know is the '69 912 but the PET shows the diff in 1967/68 for the earlier transmissions. - Confusing

AFAIK only the 902/06 Al case and 902/16 Mg case 5 speed came with the 6:29 for the 1969 912.
