Yeah West Virginia is my favorite state to drive around. The roads are like nowhere else in the US. It also seems to me to be as differently culturally from the rest of the US as New Orleans is without any of the good food. The speed limit is 55, the giant coal trucks are blasting down the roads they know so well at the limit and I couldn't go that much faster on those snake like squiggles that just go up and down endlessly. Not to mention the hotel in a canyon that you take a cable car down into the darkness to get to. Great place, can't wait to go back.

You obviously didn't make it to the Road Kill Cook-off in Marlinton. Squirrel gravy over biscuits is quite the treat

Look at that ... Randy and Scott in the same photo. And Curt Egerer there, too. It's like a flashback to R Gruppe of yesteryear ... SLO 2007.

This looks like a must-do event next year ...

What a blast, 45 incredible cars, 65 hooligans, wild roads, and a great parking lot.
1st day slow damp start, then the fun begins
1st day run up the incredible rt 150, had to go back for a second drive on Sat.
Mid West Guys are not to be denied a parking lot party
    Sweet pair

What a weekend! The rain Friday did not deter us what-so-ever. Well, maybe a lazy start, but after we figured it wasn't getting any drier, we might as well go have some fun. Shoot, I think one of my best drives was chasing down Bill on twisty 66 from Cass back to the hotel - IN THE RAIN. With a car full of groceries and a case of water banging back and forth in the back seat! If that was beer, it would have been undrinkable.

Marco, this should be a must do - you will not be disappointed. The Inn loved having us there and helped us with any request. And we got zero complaints about noise or aggressive departures from the hotel.
