    Recaro Seat Fabric

    I have an old Recaro Rally bucket that I am recovering. I have the vinyl I just need the corduroy. Does anyone know where to get this fabric or something close to it? I have attached some pictures of the seat and a close-up of corduroy material. The bottom of the seat is just worn through.

    Uli - thanks. I have attached a side view of this seat. We think it was reworked long ago and it doesn't seem to match the shape of others I have seen where the side bolstering is more pronounced. Is it possible to tell the approximate year this was made?     Honestly, that seat looks great as it is. UnLess I am missing something, I wouldn't recover it.

    What you can't see from the photos is that the material is threadbare on the bottom and is already holed. It has already been reworked once before.

    Hi, uai;

    I'd also like to find some early cord fabric; I need some black early cord like Andrew for my '68 seats, and I'd also like to find some cord to do '65 sport seats - maybe some mousey vertical cord as seen in the abarth carrera and other seats from that period. Can you help me out?
