    '74 Carrera vin number?

    Vin numbers 911460xxxx vs 911644xxx. I understood that the fourth digit tells me whether is vehicle is the USA model or ROW.
    Could someone clarify this for me. Is the 4 for the USA and the 6 is ROW?

    911460xxxx = Euro 2.7

    911440xxxx = US Carrera

    of the 1974 model year
