    WTB: Hella 128 Fog Lights

I'm going to be shipping some parts to an enthusiast in Australia. As it's so difficult to ship there from the U.S. I'm going to try to find some things he's looking for so we can everything at once. Please contact me if you have a nice pair of original Hella 128's for sale.

    Thanks,
    JohnA

Sierra Madre Collection has them. but I would only get the clear as the yellow is not authentic. The yellow should be a yellow chrome on the reflector and a clear lens over it. the new 128,s are just a yellow lens. the clear light is OK. they are in So . Calif. chris

I bought these and just received them yesterday (about 10 days) from Netherlands and they look real good,
too good for the price. I never had any real oem old originals so have no experience to compare them with. Has anyone here tried a set of these? I dont know what makes one set worth twice new, what are the differences or distinctions?

    Hella 128 reproductions

    John,

Out of Porsche lighting intellectual curiosity, I bought and received a set of these too. It it very hard to understand how the seller could make money on these at these prices but he told me he has some profit in them. Soon, later today?, I hope to have pics of a NOS one, to compare in detail to the originals. Regardless, these look good, for sure. Thanks.

    Allen...

Thanks very much for posting the pictures. I kept looking at these on eBay trying to figure out what was wrong. They're on the verge of "too good to be true", and we know how that always turns out. After seeing your pictures I went ahead and ordered a set. An added bonus is that shipping from the Netherlands is free.

Nice to have you on point.

    Original Hella 128

These aren't NOS but pretty nice. Note, the reproductions have H1 bulbs with a much more reliable connection scheme. Does anyone know if later versions of 128s came with H1 bulbs? These photos courtesy of "304678" Richard. Thanks.

wow I triggered an avalanche, they rest of those 128's he had have all sold this morning.
After reading that they appear to be that good I was gonna get another set for another 912 I'm finishing.
    you guys owe me one

well at least they went to some good guys!

btw the boxes they came in are generic (no printing on them) the others I saw at SMC were in a original looking box, with color and Hella printing on them, maybe SMC's are from a different source?

Looks like alot of us were on the sideline, until Dr 911E's pictures pushed us over the cliff. I too went back for a second set w/o luck. I'm sure the seller will have more.

I believe, the seller in the NL whose name is Rene, is the only source of 128 reproductions and is the supplier to other resellers but I am not sure about this. I suppose for all intents in purposed you could say he, his firm, is the manufacturer.
    Thanks.
