    Epilogue

Stitch has moved on..... delivered today to a gentlemen from Connecticut..... Selling price was fair. It was also a tad irrelevant. I had found a good home for my adventurous Blue friend; a participant in my madness, a mechanical companion who left me stranded but once. If it were not for Stitch I would have never found this community. Some here call it a hobby but for me it is much more. It blends the love of cars and motoring adventures to the creating of great friendships. Too many to list from coast to coast as well as abroad. This forum built Stitch; through pictures, ideas, opinion, encouragement, through parts, labor and workmanship. Seats from Garcia, fabric from Linden, footrest from Lee, suspension and brakes from Tony & Marco, stripes from Tilton, bumper from JP Longhood, steering wheel from Ahern, Brightwork from Jeanette, Insignia from Wells, tools from Mc, italian lights from Dileo, a mirror from Dave B, hand formed fenders from Esposito and I bought wheels from everyone.... The car came from Speedo out of an ad on the PCA board but it became Stitch here.

Luke I had no idea you had such a way with words. It was a good car made great by an even better owner.

    Cheers,

Really great post Luke. A really refreshing counterpoint to the myriad car valuation threads. Hope Stitch's new owner views her/him the same way.

Luke - like so many that frequesnt the various Porsche forums, there are a list of cars i keep in my mind as sort of the mainstays....the cars that we have all gotten to follow thier devlopment of....the ecars that just convey a certain intangible that makes them stay on the shortlist of 'cool' in our minds. Yours was one of those for me. I am gald I got to meet her (and you) in WV and got to follow the blue streak around some mountain roads before she moved on. I hope the new owner gets a lot of joy out of owning it.
