    65 901 trans numbers

I'm working on two 901 transmissions. Both are 902/1's. One is 41/65 date code and the other is 42/65. Both have serial #225xxx and 225xxx. The closest trans numbers I can find are 220001-221721. Is there a typo or something in the Technical specification, as I can't find a place for 225xxx. Gordon

    Gordon,
My book shows the 220001-221721 ending 26 Jul 65. That is about the 29th week? The 41 and 42 week is Sept? Maybe they started with 225001 after and before 68 number range ?
I don't have the second book handy..

Those 225XXX are the correct serial range for the 912. They started using those in cars in about the 3rd week of November 1965.

    Back from holidays!
Type 902/1 from 221722 through 232213 (highest I know in that series; next series started at 234001) was used in 1966 model year for both 911 & 912, and was a 5 speed. I have this series installed in cars during August 1966. The spec books note 221721 in 912 ending 1965 07 26, so August looks good. PM me with the serial #'s to go with those date codes please.

The info I'm getting is that the group of numbers after 221721 until 234001 (4cyl) and 130001 (6cyl) are not published??? Gordon
