'Fall Classic' for R Gruppe in Cambria, CA!

I just got back from nearly three days (Oct 12, 13 & 14) of the R Gruppe 'Fall Classic' at Cambria, Ca. We just about took over the entire Castle Inn on Moonstone Beach Drive, with the Pacific Ocean right at our door steps! See attached photo taken yesterday morning! The weather on Saturday & Sunday was magnificent! We had over 30 early 911's (& at least one 912) in attendance at this informal gathering! Hopefully, some of the better photographers in our group (e.g. Randy Wells) will post really nice photos of the weekend events! Rodolfo and Monica came all the way from Mexico City and we had one member from France too! The rest of us were mostly Southern California chapter members. We had a nice driving tour on Saturday via small country roads around Cambria, Morro Bay, Atascadero & Paso Robles area which included a special stop & memorial for member Nick Reed who recently passed away! As always, great camaraderie enjoyed by all at the Inn's parking lot - which we pretty much controlled & dominated the whole weekend!

    Saludos,

Nick Reed’s memorial gathering at the foot of HWY 299 off of HWY 58…

Fittingly one of the best damn driving roads in CA. ……
And fittingly a lot of us drove with Nick back last April on the Targa CA.

This was perfect… Thanks to all
