Hi all,

In Aug. i posted about the engine on my new to me 1971 t quitting while driving. the engine also would crank but not start and exhibited the occasional fit of having a dead ignition but mysteriously starting an hour later. Sorry to take so long to respond to the fix but i was on an extended trip to the UK to visit relatives.

I purchased a new ignition switch and then took the car to my local vintage car guru. the final solution appeared to be the wire bundle (about 10 colored wires) that connent to the small box under my Permatune sysrtem at the very back left side of the engine compartment. Cleaning up the bundle and removing any corrosion has seemed to solve the problem though I had the new ignition switch installed as the old one showed signs of being removed before (phillips heads screws that hold it in replaced with sloted screws).
