My targa may actually be getting some paint...or not

Painter called me yesterday and asked about the engine compartment which we are painting the body color. He asked how far down the longitudinals was the paint supposed to go. I told him that the paint should cover the vertical surface of the longitudinal down to the rail that holds the rubber that seals against the engine tin. Same for the crossmember in front of the engine. Am I correct? Anybody have pics?
    Thanks in advance...

When engine bays were painted body color they were ALL body color, no black.
