Converting a 2.4E mfi pump to RS spec

    Hi all

I am looking at coverting my 2.4E mfi pump to RS spec and am trying to find out whats invloved. Is an RS space cam the only part I need to do that? How available are they and anyone have any idea on cost of the space cam and to get the job done?

I would get one of the usual suspects to do the conversion.

    Thanks in advance

I would contact Mark Jung or Gus Pfister and tell them what you want. Mark Jung is on this board. I think his handle is 356RS but that may be his Pelican Parts username.

    Andy,

I had this done to my S pump in 2003 by Gus.

RS space cam and a complete recalibration (plus he re-tagged my 021 S pump to a 019 RS )

I believe the price was around $780, and the turnaround was 7 weeks.

... again this was 9 years ago.

    Hope this helps

I actually just spoke with Gus last week, PFI is about 1/5 miles from where I work and believe it or not this was the first time I stopped by. He told me that new space cams are running about $750 for the part. if you're thinking about the conversion I would send your pump to him for a full recalibration etc. He also quoted about a 6 week turn around on pumps at present.

Sorry Andy, I've never seen an email address for Gus...

There are other resources... I've just never used them.
