    1965 911 for sale $5500 on Craigslist - not mine

    I feel bad for this poor 65 911
    VIN is 300294 as per owner. He said the original engine was stolen at a repair shop a few years ago.

    Edit: Seller gave a different VIN#,303294, to another member. 300294 is probably incorrect after all.

    How is it possible to hurt a car like this ? No car deserve this.
    Seems the entire roof has been gone. So much work to do, but such a rewarding result to come.

    That car is a piece of work. I don't have my ref books in front of me, but are we sure that's a 911 VIN and not a 912? A VW engine swap would make more sense in a 912.

    FYI. Your vin is incorrect. Vin for this car is 303294. Color 6604 light ivory. Tate

    Good to know, he emailed me this message early this morning:
    "i think it is 300294
    motor was rumored stolen in a repair shop break in several years ago."

    Is 303294 a 1965 or 66 model?
