Question Weber jetting: Over heat problem

    Hi all,
I've had a big over heat problem which damaged my motyor last july.

It is a 2,4l S which is up setting in 2,7l.
    I put 2 weber 40 IDA3C/C1 which setting is:

    Venturi: 30
    Main jet: 125
    Air correction: 180
    E-tube: F26

It seemed not to be so poor, but should this setting be my over heat problem ?

    Hi Freddy,

Without question, your jetting package is FAR off for a 2.7RS spec engine and can make it run hot due to excessive leanness.

With S/RS cams, you really need F3 emulsion tubes so you should locate a set if you can. F26's are too rich and intended for engines with 906/RSR cams.

30mm venturies are too small for a 2.7, even for a 2.4S engine.

Unless you live above 5000 ft elevation, I'd be using 34mm venturies with 150-155 mains and your current 180 A/C jets. 36mm ones give better top end power, but a little softer below 4K RPM.

    55 idles should be perfect.

    Hi Freddy,

I can certainly provide the main venturies & jets, however I don't have any F3 e-tubes and they are NLA. The only source would be to find a used set of them.
