'67 S: Which carburetors are correct?

I have an earlier '67 S (built 09/08/66). I thought I've read (maybe here) that the earliest '67 S cars had IDA's, and the later majority came with IDS's. Is this correct? If so, how can I determine which are correct for my car? Thanks, Brian

The IDAs used on these early S's were stamped with an "S" as shown in the photo.

Thank you to all who replied with great info.

I have confirmed the presence of the little "S" stamp, so now I can proceed to overhaul them. Brian

    Hi Paul,
Is it normal to find this little "S" stamp also after the change to IDS? I have some spare carbs from an engine approx 60 after the change, and they both have the stamp.
