    FS: '68 911S 2.0 vintage race car

One of the fastest 2.0 cars in the U.S. Lots of history running out West over the last 10 years. Fully legal in all sanctioning bodies including but not limited to: HSR, SVRA, VARA, etc. Orginally built by TRE, now morphed into extreme, super lightweight HSR spec racer. Features include:

    Titled, 1968 911S chassis.
Fresh 230hp single plug engine. (#4080455 matching number)
    Elgin 314/296 cams.
Aluminum flywheel with 4.5" PowerTrain clutch.
    46PMO's.
    Custom stainless headers.
    22 qt oil system.
Mag case 901 with D, GA, J,O,V. (Good for most tracks with the exception of Daytona and maybe VIR.)
    AIM Pista Data acquisition.
Dual front oil cooler set up.
    32/22 T-bars.
    Wrightwood Racing front swaybar.
Dual, top mount Tilton master cylinders. Cockpit adjustable bias.
Fiberglass lids, doors, fenders. 901 Shop fiberglass rear quarters. Lexan windows.
    Under 1800 lbs.
    Fuel Safe cell.
    Wired for radio.
    Kirkey Road Race seat.
Would recommend some tidying up, tires, and fuel cell foam to be track ready.

Very motivated seller. A steal at $64k. Interesting trades entertained.

You couldn't begin to build this car using an S chassis for less than 140k; can't win national events any cheaper than this!

    It gets better Chuck:

I think a decent offer will buy this car.

Frank, I have reserved comment, but you are really tempting me with that build. The color, not so much, but I could look past that.

Oh boy, would my sister be pissed if I showed up with that.....

    Must... resist...

Head fake. The good feeling was apparently just a result of the bottle of Scottish Ale that I had that evening.
My exclaimation of "Wow" was certainly fitting though.

Scott, you need to own this car. Who knows: $50k and a ride in one of your warbirds might buy it?

I would venture a guess that everyone has looked at how buttoned up the structure is. This thing should be stiff as a gang of sailors on shore leave.

If not, look again. This really is the heart of the matter in the handling department.

Frank, stop.... With a fresh opening in the garage, it has me thinking - hard. What is the deal with the 5 blade fan? Is that car at your shop? My folks are in AZ now and....

Tom, that is the first thing I noticed. I'll bet it is a hoot to drive.

    Any lap time history anywhere?

    Scott,

No lap times that you would probably recognize (Haven't had an A+ driver in the car out east). High 1:31's at Willow Springs on DOT's which is not too shabby for a 2.0 car.
Yes. it's at my shop. Have your folks stop by; I would love to meet them!

BTW: The color grows on you. Empty garage= Time for another race car.
