    front spoiler on 73 S

What's the front spoiler (air dam) supposed to be made out of. I have only seen fiberglass but were they originally steel?

    Thanks,

    Chris

The short answer is YES, the factory production 2.4S spoiler was steel. It was stock on S's and could be orders on any model 911 in '72 and '73.

The prototype S spoilers for the late '71 race cars... and then early '72 911 production cars were glass.

    Hope this helps

Further to Chuck's post above, for production cars, the steel 'S' bumpers replaced the earlier grp version from VIN's :

We also carry them in stock, I will need to check the price. These are Porsche produced parts. Dansk have remade the none S version and they are not bad so maybe they will soon make the S version.
