Question about through the hood gas tanks

Sorry to sound like a noob about this, and I did try the search but didn't find the info I was looking for.

When making a through the hood gas tank, is there a kit for the filler neck or does everyone fab up their own stuff?

Hi, we bought this one from Marek here in the early reg.

We modified a new 85 ltr tank and fitted the parts supplied.

Thanks for the reply. This isn't for my Porsche. It's for my 2002. I'm getting the filler up under the trunk so if I'm inclined, I can cut a hole in the carbon trunk lid I have (not fitted presently). I was hoping there was a standard filler neck with the splash shield and drain that wasn't 700 bucks. I have one now but no drain and I'm not in love with it. Oh well.

Mine is also from Marek, but I couldn't find the info...

I have also seen modified Dog feeding bowls used as splash shields/drain.

Here is a good shot where we are precisely locating the center of the filler neck on my 356, then sliding the bonnet underneath the plumb bob to accurately determine the cut location. Filler kit came from GT Werks.
