7R wheel stud length and spacer width question

Can someone please tell me what length wheel studs I'll need to mount 7R wheels on my 69T? 88mm? 100mm?

    thank you

Stock stud length is 45mm. Spacer needed to clear reasonable tire on R wheel in rear is 12-17mm (depends on tire and car). So 63 mm stud should do it.

hmm, yeah, that brings-up a good point... tire size. I'm thinking that a 225x50/15 is the way to go with rear 7R setup... tires of a specific size vary by maker, so maybe a recommendation here too would be great. I'm running B.F. Goodrich 205x60/15s up front.

    (thanks, Randy)

66mm are usually easy to find. They do reqiure an open lug.

I usually don't go beyond 15mm (LWB) unless the car is decambered and not too low. or has track size bars.
Then, I have used as Randy says; up to 17mm and one car had clearance for more. (Precision fender making)

We start at 12 and go out a little at a time because of fender/susp differences.
At 12 they (225/50s)are frequently very close to the alignment bolt.
Your fronts will be taller unless you use 205/55s.

Although you didn't ask; I recommend the 15mm bolt to bolt adapters (the smallest made). They will fit with 225/50s (LWB) and you can use closed lugs ...and they are easily removable to go back to stock.

Thank you, Harvey! I don't know where to get the correct 15mm bolt-to-bolt adapters... any recommended suppliers?

I like the ones you sold me Harvey. Easy to install and work like a charm. No stud changing and I can swap wheels quickly.

Here is the sequence on my '67 coupe. The wheels are restored 7R's that Harvey did. Pay no attention to the rusty head pipe. It's all shiny-licious now with SSI's.
