    1967 Windshield Fitting

My 1967 is currently a stripped chassis that is slowly getting ready for paint. I tried test fitting the front and rear glass and they fit differently. I checked the parts manual and all of the early cars had the same windshield (901-541-101-21) while the rear glass part number changed (1965-8 901-545-101-20) (1969-73 901-545-105-00).

My front windshield overlapped the body lip side to side by about 1/8 inch but had a 1/4 gap top to bottom. Is the overlap side to side a problem?

The rear glass would fit inside the body flange with a small gap all of the way around. I assume that this is the correct size.

Anyone know the change made to the rear glass in 1969?

The rear glass in 69 may be electrically heated.

That is the reason for the part # change. The windshield and back glass are the same dimentions from the beginning through 1989
