Broken mirror glass on the side view mirror

Just wondering if anyone knows how to replace a broken glass side view mirror on a 1969 911?

Is this the early small 'thin edge' Durrant, or the later larger version?

If the earlier then I got my local glazier to cut a round mirror the exact size of the remaining hole after the broken glass was removed, and then glued the new one in with glazing glue. Looks like new, and very difficult to tell that it's not original. On the later version I believe the black insert next to the glass comes out although someone else will need to explain how!

If it's the standard 69 large Durant, the hard party's over, take it to a glass shop, from memory it's 3mm mirror, they can then measure it and cut a new piece.

As it's broken you won't have the trouble of trying to get the plastic ring out.

Here is a picture I think it is a Durant, and for some reason the previous owner put it in the wrong place.

Yes, you have the standard Durant for 68 to early LWB cars. Earlier mirrors did not have the dished rim

Thanks for the help. This is a simple fix for these Durant mirrors.
The key is the pressure fitted plastic ring that holds the mirror that is what you want to preserve. I took out the smaller broken pieces and then just kept the two largest ones that made up 75% of the mirror.

After taking those out I used a small then a large flat head screw driver to work out the plastic ring. Auto glass companies are pretty useless for these old cars, I just took the ring to a local glass shop and got a quoted 42 bucks and just dropped it off. The price bugged me because I thought it was damn high at the time. As luck would have it my wife had just ran by another local glass shop to get some shelves made and she said I should give them a call because they are smaller but bet better priced, so I called. Got a quote of 10 bucks, yeah that sounds much better. Told the other shop that their prices where higher than a cats back and I would be right back to pick up my parts.

A little bead of silicone on the back of the mirror and I should be golden.
