    73s production date ?

I recently acquired a 73s that went through an extensive Tim Goodrich restoration in 2000, but unfortunately lost the door jamb vin decal during the restoration. I am hoping someone on this board's brain trust can help me establish a build date. Just received my COA, but no build date listed.
I know it is an early 73 model year build, vin...9113300091, but hoping for actual month of 72 production build.

    Thanks,
    Brent

My recently bought 9113300021 shows 07 72 on the door sticker. Good luck. Anthony

My 9113300854 was built in 2/73. So factoring in a 2 week Christmas shutdown, as well as the typical 2 weeks in August the Germans take, you should be able to figure out how many cars they built a month and hence when yours was built. Basically it is somewhat over a 100 cars a month, so yours is likely a July car.

Amazing the COA does not have it.

Thanks for all the info. It's obviously now determined to be either July or August production. Hopefully we can narrow that down. Also thanks to some help from a post by NorthernThrux I purchased a set of amazingly original 72-73 sport seats from Frank at nineapart. The set I purchased had been stored for years and he had actually forgotten he had them. He still has two sets in stock one of which are very nice. It was my first experience dealing with him, but a good one.

If the car didn't have the sticker, we would survey the production dates of the parts. That will give you a very close date. Look for the latest original (non replaced part) date; usually the guages.
