    1973 911E at Mecum this weekend

    Anyone know this car? Looks sharp, and possibly an actual 55,000 mile car.

    Speedo reads 50,700 miles but advertised as 55k. Can't tell if there are sport seats. No real history given. Auction is on Saturday

    For what it is worth, and despite the claim that it is all original paint, both quarter panels have been painted. I metered the paint when the car was at R M Scottsdale about three years ago. Also, paint was flaking along the edge of the engine lid. Otherwise, a very nice 911.

    With all due respect to those who see no end to the rise in prices, I think $80K was strong money for this very solid car.
