I like his idea for painting Fuchs wheels.

Really enjoy the philosophy of removing complication from life. It's not always practical but it's nice to take a vacation from all the bullshit that clutters our lives these days.
Kevlar panels... how did he manage that?
High butterfly to boot.

Very interesting back date project. Im interested in those here who have driving experience of the last series of pre 964 cars- what's the last one that would feel closer to the original long wheel base longhoods? Would the Carrera for instance rather than the SC feel similar if backdated?

I painted my wheels that way. It gets you the right line. Interesting placement of his Talbot mirror, tucked right in to the window corner like that. Placing it there gives the best rear view, but also, the reduction in wind noise is remarkable. Of course flag mirrors are the worst for wind noise anyway.

Funny insights appear when current pro's start tinkering with the old stuff.
When Adrian Newey's E-type is parked in the paddock next to another Lightweight almost every panel has a remarkably different shape. Of course the English are famous for their "craftsmanship" and the driver for his "parking" abilities but the paddock gossip about the temporarily "storing" the car near the Red Bull windtunnel makes perfect sense once you compare stance and lines. Oh and lets not forget the variable height of the boot lid... Totally random of course!
