Following up on the group option G03, I was looking carefully at 9113103106 posted over on Pelican here:
    http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...barn-find.html
This car obviously has M426 ($31.50 wheel arch trim) M559 ($639.50 A/C w crashbar) M568 ($103.50 tinted windows) for $774.50 out of $1045 so we are still short about $270.
    I know the following are not included in G03: 400 402 404 409 440 453 466 470(Comfort= M414 M565 911S Rubber Mouldings on Bumpers and below Doors, Chromed Rocker Panels, Aluminum Door Sills, Velour Carpeting) 473 477 566 650 651
So we need a big ticket item. Can someone look at the photos in the thread on Pelican and see if the interior suggests a full leather interior, please and thanks.

If I am not mistaken, I believe this car was advertised as having a "rally option" including a larger capacity fuel tank? Thought that was unusual given it was a Targa?

I was mistaken. Given the OP's Ebay link was no longer operative, I confused the car being discussed with this recent car (also yellow) on Ebay (also, no longer):

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/40331640485....c100903.m5276

Much was being made in the write up about Option Group E51:

Special factory order Rally package 1972 Porsche 911S Targa: Option Group E51; Sport Seats w corduroy inserts; 85 liter rally tank; rally lights; door script; rear wiper; defroster; original paint; numbers match. Purchased new in Germany by an aerospace engineer working for Lockheed, and brought to California in 1973. Porsche offered this special package as part of a 1972 Lemans victory/ race campaign. Solid original metal throughout and excellent original body gaps all around. This is the most optioned 911s I have seen, everything short of an RS. Original factory script on the side.

Not sure where you saw that Brent. A non standard fuel tank may be a possibility though. I have been going through many CoA and WS, and have found 15 cars with the option. Includes T, E & S coupe & Targa. I cycled through them again and found the interiors varied with standard leatherette, partial leather and full leather. The trouble is that the WS has pricing but no interior information. The pricing of G03 varies from 850 to 1050 and no way to correlate with possible missing items.

I have this original old ring binder which appears to have once been the general manager’s guide in North America.

Option G03 is listed on the general manager’s model 1973 sheets spring calendar 1973 at retail $1045.00 (or 995.00)) but as Dave says it does not specify what that option group includes. The difference $50 less between retail implies some equipment in that option “bundle” was standard on some models. The fender chrome strip coincidentally is $50 option model 73 so maybe that was the item in the bundle that accounts for the delta.

Not sure why I have the binder as my car is GB market delivered the binder doesn’t even list the 911.744 Carrera RS as model was not sold officially in North America.

Maybe a "warm climate" group? Fender oil cooler to go with the A/C?
