901 shifter stop plate springs ?

Does anyone know the free-length of the shifter stop plate springs? I was going through a box of old shifter parts, and ran across two different length springs. I'm wondering if perhaps one length is for Sportomatic and the other for manual. Thank you in advance.

Sportos and manuals use the same springs. I don't know what the short on is.

Thanks for the reply Jim. The mate to the short one pictured is still in a 901 shifter assembly. I removed the one, when I ran across the longer springs, in hopes of identifying them.
