    FS: 1969-73 Gauges: Speedo and Tachometer

    Guys,
    These gauges are both stamped 9/71 and both came out of a 1972 911T. They are both in very good condition, both function 100% and are plug and play.
    Asking $150 + shipping for the speedo and $170 for the tachometer plus shipping. Here are photos.

    I am very insterested if those could replace with no modifications the ones I have in may 1983 3.2 backdate. if so I buy them straight. anybody have done this before ?

    Hi Brakekiller,
    I don't think that the speedometer will work on your 83 with a 3.2 Carrera motor since the early 911 cars had a mechanical drive speedo, and the later 911 cars (post 1975) were all electronic speedos. It depends however on your "backdate". If the original engine and wiring harness are being used in your 83 3.2 backdate, then the speedometer will not work on your car. As regards the tachometer, not sure if it will work.

    Thanks for your response, I beleive you are right as I use the 1983 wiring harness.

    Tach is now sold.
    Speedometer still for sale. Bump with a price drop to $125 plus postage...
