    FS: Rear Trailing Arm Monoballs

Early this year we made a batch of very high quality Trailing Arm Monoballs and as we are having a bit of a clearout we have 4 car sets available.

These parts have been manufactured to a very high standard and have the following features:

Monoball Sleeve - manufactured in a high quality stainless steel.

Bearing- Minebea Stainless Steel Spherical Bearing. Bearings are pre-fitted to the sleeves with the recommended radial compression.

Locking System - Smalley Retaining Rings are used to retain the bearing and sleeve and provide much better location and strength than the more usual low cost snap ring (circlip)

Weather Seal- The units are supplied with Seals-It Rod End Seals which provide an excellent water seal compared to heat shrink that is commonly
    used.

The Brackets on the rear trailing arms also vary in spacing depending on date of construction. We have measured variation of up to 2mm in the inner dimension. The early brackets are also very stiff and ratehr than aloowing elastic deformation to claose up differences we have supplied a 'shim' pack of spacers to adjust the overall width of the Monoball prior to final assemby.

These shims fit internally into the housing and are manufactured from a stainless steel spring steel.

Trailing arm width is also a variable and all Monoball manufacturers recommend fitting a 'shim' if the gap between the snap ring and the arm is more then 0.005". We supply a second stainless steel shim pack for this purpose.

Steel arms normally have a slight interference and may need warming for installation but Aluminium arms may be slightly oversize. We supply a small quantity of Loctite 638 as a Retaine.

We also supply new Bolts and Grade 8 Nyloc nuts to complete the assembly along with detailed instructions.

The cost of these Monoballs is realtively high due to the quality of parts used but we are offering 4 x sets at $200 including Worldwide deliery.
