I do not recall if this car has been discussed or if it is owned by a board member. I do find it interesting...... What is the boards view of it.....

Thanks. It is a very nice car. I am always interested how the marketplace accepts a nicely done hotrodded S...... seeing I own one.....

Uh, it was bid to 76k the first time around and now there is a BIN of more than double that? Did I miss something?

It does look like an extremely clean car. I wonder what the original interior was as the COA states 'to sample', thus not black. I saw a coupe the other day with a 'to sample' reddish leather interior - that was stunning.

Actually, I have a 1973 brochure on my desk here and oddly, black was not an option for the 911 that year...
I'm pretty sure it was offered only on the RS as a special colour, but I've got a US brochure so no RS, no black

My 73S Targa is also silver with black interior, original sport seats! Maybe Black was the Standard color and not considered an option?????

Whoops - I thought 'to sample' was refering to the exterior - not the interior. Black was of course an option for the interior

I had a 41k original mile origina paint silver on black T targa about 12 years ago. It showed 'black leatherette' on the CofA and it was still in the car. My friend just bought an original paint yellow on black 73 targa, also showing black on the CofA.

I'd go on a limb and say black was probably the predominant interior color for 73.
