What's the correct radio model for a 67s?

    Any info would be appreciated

My '67 Normal has a Blaupunkt New Yorker with metal buttons. It's been in the car since new. Have the owners manual etc.

The second radio is the one from Bruce Jennings '67-S. It had black plastic knobs (I think).

Regardless they are apparently fairly rare or so says Mr. Old Auto Radio.

I've got 2 Beckers that I'd love to part with. One is a Grand Prix Signal Seeking Radio and the other is a Europa. I don't think either are appropriate for your car.

    Good question!

I have a euro (German) 67 S and it has an Essen Blaupunkt. I have always wondered whether this was original or added by the Owner. There are threads discussing th US delivery radios, buthaven't seen much about euro cars.

Picture on the bottom is the correct Frankfurt AM/FM/SW with correct knobs and push buttons. There were other radios like the New Yorker with signal seeking function that were optional

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.

My SWAG would be that better than 90% of all radios that were delivered in 67 cars in the US from new would be Blaupunkt Frankfurt US AM/FM/SW radios (Option #9323). Those radios should have a ID tag on the side of them that Identifies them as a Frankfurt US and they would be a "W" or "X" series (just another SWAG).
It is interesting to note that the New Yorker radio posted earlier is a AM/FM/SW, not a AM/FM/M band radio as stated in the options book.

    Regards

    Jim
