Looks to be a nice original low mileage SWB 911L for sale.....no price listed.

    .....love the color.

    What's todays value for a #2 'driver/show-condition' car like this?.....$65 - $85?

So what's a good value for an honest L?

    I'm curious as well.

Here there is a close to concours 911 L with full S trim about 65000 miles, 45000 Euros. You have to take into account that earlys are more expensive in Europe than in US (rarity and demand) for the same model.

....a near concours SWB 911L with 65K original miles sounds like a good deal for 45K Euros = ($59K US) assuming it's all matching numbers with complete documentation.

US L is every bit an S except the normal engine.

Euro L is a US normal equivalent, not an S equivalent.

Not a bad price for such an honest car. Probably the rarest "S" of them all.

But it's not an "S", so that wouldn't make it the rarest "S" of them all. It seems like everyone with an "L" talks about how it's an "S" without the engine. Just be happy with what it is, a very nicely equipped 911 with upgraded trim and chassis, not an "S". It's kind of like everyone saying that their, or my, "E" is faster to 100 m.p.h. than an "S"...But the truth is it's still a lesser model than an "S". Everyone stop trying to justify your car, and just be happy you have a bitchin' longhood, because they all are no matter what the model designation. Just my opinion

    +1

to make it clear : in the ad I have posted, the S trim optional has been ordered with the car - This was an option for L buyer. That is it.
