The Ultimate Front Brakes for a 15" Wheel - Indy Car Brembo 8-Piston Racing Brakes

So I have decided in the course of my project that I am not going to use these Calipers at this time...perhaps I would in the future but the timeline has grown.

They are the Ultimate with a capital 'U', for 15" Wheels. They are extremely rigid, being made out of a metal matrix Aluminum/Beryllium composite, they have huge pad area (~2.5x 930 brakes), they have EIGHT Titanium pistons and they are feather light. I think they were $10,000 a pair before they were banned in the Champ Car series.

Takeoffs from a Champ Car, I believe, approx. 2003. Good condition, and complete but I recommend a clean/inspection before use. Racers are still looking for these now, as there has not been anything comparable made since.

These fit like a glove on a 930 32mm front rotor inside a 15" (Fuchs) wheel. The brake caliper is curved and the radius curves the caliper inside of the wheel perfectly. Requires fabrication of a brake mount adapter, similar to the one for using 993 brakes on early 911s, etc., from ~8.75" radial mount to 3.5" strut mount.

    On ebay, buy-it-now, $2400 OBO:

Look to be true monoblocks ... very trick parts. Where do you get pads?

I have a few sets available, I will be posting separately. I'll also pass my connections & part numbers for them - there are a couple of guys who dismantle Indy style race cars, and there is a Performance Friction spec. pad these calipers use.

My Brembo monoblocks on my Ducati racebike used 4 pads per caliper, too. Again, very trick.
