    Ed :

Do you know what ever became of the 911 Texas Longhorn that was used at the D/FW Parade in '87 ?

Did it get re-restored to an actual 911 or is still in it's trim as we saw it then ?
Any History or amusing anecdotes of the car you can share ?
    Best Regards,

I think you're referring to the "Texas Pickup Truck" which was the front trunk of a 911 with a pick-up bed made into it. I know it well, it was done at the shop next to mine, and the current owner is a customer of mine. And yes, after Parade it was "deconverted" The car is a Euro 911E that was owned by an employee of the body shop at the time. It is now owned by an airline pilot.

am sure the 911 Longhorn Pickup was perhaps an earlier progenitor for the whole Cayenne / Macan concept, so then Ed , does that mean you take partial credit for that development ? Since the shop was that close and perhaps you had some say in the matter , surely think maybe some royalties should be coming your way

I really think I would buy a pickup made on a Cayenne platform, as it would be a bit more nimble and useful than say.... a Raptor or a Tundra out here on the prairie......a guy could be all
