Thread: Anyone using/have pics of "E" rocker trims / deco strips?

  1. #1

Anyone using/have pics of "E" rocker trims / deco strips?

Looks like most folk opt for either the wide "S" rocker trims or no trims at all (usually with the PORSCHE side stripes or tape stripe for the hot rod crowd).

Does anyone have any pics of LWB cars (esp. targas) using the slimmer E style?

I'm thinking about using them on a driver/sleeper project that will kick off - as soon as I get this @#$%$##$%ing cast off my arm...

I don't want to be picky but the "comfort pack" has nothing to do with trim. I think you are referring to the "S trim package".

Comfort Pack was S' spec trim, (interior, exterior plus S' brakes).

    This is from 911e registry..

Intended as the luxury model, the 911E came standard (in most markets) with the "comfort" package of features: including ventilated brake discs with aluminum calipers, velour carpeting, a leather-covered steering wheel, heavy bumper rub strips and rubber guard inserts, chrome rocker-panel trim, and gold-colored script on the rear deck.

My 69'T was delivered this way. The cardex was marked "Comfort Pack"
I could be wrong, it is also called "appearance group"..

The "comfort package" included 14 X 5 1/2 alloys and hydropneumatic struts. The trim (S Trim) was another story.

S-Trim was never an "official" designation
Optional for the T, either it was called "Comfort Group" or Appereance Group.

E had the wide "S" trim rockers standard for 1969-1971.
In 1972/1973 this was newly optional and the 911E came standard with the thiner "T" rocker trim.
However, probably few E have the thin "T" rocker trim, most 72/73 E owners probably opted for optional "S" rocker trim.
