I recently picked up a 73 targa 911E to restore / hot rod. Solid car but with a G series wide body conversion and 3.2 transplant.

It also has a power brake conversion - I suspect from a 3.2 Carrera or the like - whilst retaining stock S calipers.

This will be a street car only and I'm thinking about going back to a regular 73 master cylinder (or maybe the slightly larger MB unit). This will also look more period correct and free up space for a hardtop.

Does anyone know what the conversion entails, and thus what I will have to undo? I know a hole has been cut in the panel behind of the top of the fuel tank, and that will have to be filled.

Will a later pedal setup have been used?
