... special 1968 rear seat belt attachment....

At least i found it!! 3 years.... one of the rarest stupid item on this car...

Ok, it's not NOS, but it' s the real deal and now , with the correct dimensions, i can make a little reproduction run...
the problem will be the white plastic washer...

i have mounted it inside the original hole i cutted from my car to check the proper function...

    Hi Andrea,

I would be very very happy if you would have found a 1968 rear screw for the front seat belt fixation. But I'm sorry to say, it isn't.
Here some pictures what it should look like.
I am also still looking for a set of these screws. If somebody could help, that would be great!!!!

2 different 68 shoulder belt attaching bolts and one from a 66/67. These bolts are only found in cars that were delivered in Germany or other places in Europe. Cars destined for the US got completely different seat belts and bolts. I believe Andrea's bolt is from a US delivered car with "ASE" shoulder belts.

    Exact Jim!

    from left to right:
    1) aluminium type ( wrong for 68, used till 66/67)
    2) Hex type ( the real deal for 68) . It's identical to mine but the Claudius' photo says something different.....
    3) chromed type (perfect for 67/68). I use this type on my car until i'll found the correct number 2) type....

    i have 1) and 3) NOS

The one i posted i think is the number 2)...

    we have to check better....

As I mentioned - welcome to the 1968 model year - speciality collection!!

Raj, if you could get us the measurements of the bolt, that would be perfect!!

My bolt is different than the one you posted. Mine is used with a permanently mounted shoulder belt that uses a stamped steel end. The bolt you have pictured is for those beautiful Factory seat belts that have 3 of those, really cool, hooks at the end of both the lap and shoulder belts. I think I have one or two of those around there somewhere but can't find them. Yes they are not chrome plated like the bolt I have pictured.

    Regards

    Jim
PS: The picture is just an example of a permanently mounted shoulder belt but not particularly one for a 68.
