Thanks Kaefer .... Its not a super ture rsr clone but I would like to to be close with out breaking the bank, well atleast not too much. The interior will be fairly close along with the exterior bits The few upgrade from the 73 chassis that are on my 86 will stay except the sunroof. The 3.6 plant will take a little bit away from the classic look. I might have missed this but what is the overall dia of the mich TB's .. 23, 24, 25 inch? The avons that Roger had also had the same rear tire but in a 24 inch size instead of the 25 inch. The avons dont seem to be as hard to get vs the mich TB's. If you wernt so far away I would have driven down to VA and checked out your build.

    Michelin measure their TBs metrically...

For example, 18/60 means 18cm tread width and 60cm diameter (conventional measuring has them as 215/55 15)

John, thanks for the break down. For the life of me I couldnt figure out the 29/61 relationship. It all makes sense now. Your mates car ... hes running 10 or 11 inch braids for the rear? I need to message him and see how hes like the braids after the fact.

Pretty sure they're 9" and 11". Alistair recently went to a lot of trouble to get them refinished perfectly as they were black centred.

Go over to Pelican, he's Quozl on there http://forums.pelicanparts.com/members/105170.html

Edit: i found another post stating 15x8 and 15x11.

Old thread, but I'm wondering if anyone has tried out the RSR offsets (ET+3 front, ET-27 rear) in 17x9/17x11 wheels (standard 911 hubs/trailing arms)?

Per a post by JeremyD on this thread, (and another I can't find right now)

    http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...-17-fuchs.html

    17x9et+17
    17x11et-8

...will work on a 911 w/ 930 flares (and 911 suspension). He stated somewhere else that 9et+12 would probably work in front, I believe. I would shoot for these +- 5mm offset and you should be quite alright.
