    Scooter Patrick...

    Very sad news….

Talking to registry member and old Porsche racer Davey Jordan yesterday, he told me that his close friend, racing teammate, and factory Porsche racer Scooter Patrick is not doing well, at all……….

Davey’s wife Norma helps run the Riverside International Automotive Museum and they’re putting together a fundraiser for the 12th on Jan. to help the family.
Norma is working on the flyer and I’ll post it here.

While undoubtedly seeing him race from ’66 I really took notice of Scooter at the ’68 Santa Barbra races, running and fighting in 3 different classes that day. He became one of my heroes ……… Through Davey and the Fabulous Fifties group I got to reacquaint myself with Scooter and after awhile we became friends. Of all the local ‘dealership gladiators’ (along with Davey, Allan Johnson, Milt Minter and others) Scooter was probably the toughest….. And for sure the BEST story teller....... this is very sad news…

    More info to come…..

Couple of fairly resent pics I took

    - Scooter at a Shelby reunion
    - At Davey’s BBQ with John Morton on his right, Tony Adamowicz with eyes closed, and Davey Jordan in black

The Riverside International Automotive Museum is having a fund raiser on the 12th for Scooter...

Trust me, they wouldn't be asking if there wasn't a need...

Please attend and/or give what you can.

Any and all will be appreciated to help this great old racer...

    Hope to see you there....

    August ’59 to August ’74 … one hell’of’a career

I believe Scooter won the very last CamAm race in a McLaren M20 in ‘74…

A time of iron men and plastic cars…….

I do not think Joe Buzzeta here on Long Island knew about this. I just told his grandson who I know well.
