    i agree. so what tools are not interchangeable between 911 and 912?

    it appears the spark plug wrench and the pulley wrench are 912-only. I'd have to guess that the fan belt would be 912-only, but i'd like to hear from someone who knows for sure.

    i don't think the spark plug wrench that used a 10mm allen was 912. i think the 912 kit had a tommy bar, as shown in the ad.

    i might have guessed the pliers (with the raised cutter) would be the same as 911, as well as the open-end wrenches, the screwdrivers, the fuse-pak, the jack handle and the bag/roll, itself.

    is the chrom-vanadium box end the same for 911 and 912?

    an authoritative article on tool kits would be a great idea for the "Esses" magazine.
