    Fuchs wheels vs. repos...

A question for you guys... my '66 came with alloy wheels dated 1/69 and which the receipt (1973) from a non-Porsche dealer states are "factory alloys". They are 5 1/2 x 15. They have hearts. There are no casting markings on the spokes, so I assumed they were aftermarket. But then I saw that some early ones came with ink stamps. Mine have covered around 200,000 miles so have been cleaned many times, and so the ink may have been cleaned off. I am trying to determine if they are genuine or not. The guy who works on the engine for me (for the past 25 years) and who is considered something of a guru in these parts thinks that they are genuine. Any ideas to help me work this one out would be greatfully received. Thanks to one and all and merry christmas!

Based on my experience (and I have a little), those are genuine Porsche Fuchs.

I would think the 5 1/2 wheels were late enough that they would not have ink stamps, they would have casting marks. I may be mistaken, but I think I do see a date stamp. Are you sure there are no casting marks? I do believe those are most likely Fuchs

    Ditto.
How about some photos of the front? And some closer/clean of the back.
Where does it have 5 1/2 if not forging numbers?
1/69 would be too late for 68MY.
I have seen some 5 1/2s as late as in X/70, but not too many.
Used for replacement parts (they were the supersession for the 4 1/2s)or possibly an odd order 914/6?
