    Aluminum dash trim

I picked up a complete original set of aluminum dash trim so that I can put the original radio back in my 911
One of the pcs has a small crease............is this something that can be rolled out or is there another way to do it. Its not too bad and Im not even sure if it will notice when installed.

    Thx

You won't do any harm by attempting to roll out a crease, keeping in mind that the piece in question must be pristinely clean front and back, as must the flat surface you are rolling it out on, and the roller surface as well. It it was me, I'd try something like a very hard rubber roller with handle used to press down contact cemented plastic laminate. As a surface, the machined table of, say, a bandsaw, tablesaw or the like would work. Depending on the damage, unlikely you will get it perfect-perfect but worth a try...............................................

    Thanks Sabby

Also any thoughts on getting the finish consistent, the area that had an old radio faceplate etc etc is a different color/patina than the rest of the panel.
    Thx

Maybe this will help. I ended up buying this aluminum dash facia set from Marek instead of mudeling around trying to save the original pieces.. Absolutely perfect reproduction in every regard.

Angustami---That could be more of a challenge.....The above suggestion might be a good one as if the piece has color variation due to exposure and age you would likely need to strip the anodization and re-anodize ---. Have you tried to aggressively clean the pieces? By that I mean the use of a "Dobie" pot/pan scouring pad (NOT a Scothbrite type pad -- only the Dobie-It won't scratch the surface) and a good household cleaning product like 409. Spray the 409 on all the pieces laid on flat on a table, let soak for a couple of minutes and scrub with the Dobie. Regardless if it works or not, you won't harm the surface. BTW, I have used this method on everthing from car parts to upholstery, to furniture, bare wood or not, for years with great results.... completely non-invasive.
